Your Questions Answered
Question 1: Are all of your recipes original? Yes and no. My recipes are original, as in they are based on my own work and not a copy from a cookbook or another blog. However, the word “original” is fairly elusive. Why? It’s relative. So I would rather say, the recipes are originally by me (and my hubby – of course), but I am sure someone out there has made something like it before.
Question 2: Are you ever going to compose a cookbook? I would love to, but I will probably start with an e-Book. It’s just more convenient!
Question 3: When did you go vegetarian and gluten free? I have been vegetarian since 1999, and gluten free since January 2011. It has been a long journey with a lot of mistakes (that have paid off, thankfully).
Question 4: Are there any VG/GF cookbooks you would recommend for “newbies” in cooking? Yes. I recommend: The Blender Girl: Super-Easy, Super-Healthy Meals, Snacks, Desserts, and Drinks by Tess Masters; The Oh She Glows Cookbook: Over 100 Vegan Recipes to Glow from the Inside Out by Angela Liddon, and any cookbook by Nicole Hunn (not all recipes are vegan though).
Question 5: Any tips on being gluten free and dairy free without getting discouraged? Keep the meals fun and adventurous. Look at a regular recipe and see what you can pull off that’s similar, but better! Get some help in the kitchen, or watch a cooking show for inspiration to add some pizzazz (like that old school word didn’t cha?) to your gluten free kitchen cooking. It’s not that bad, although it takes a lot of practice, mess ups, and dedication.
Question 6: What camera do you suggest? Canon or Nikon? I do not make the claims to be a photographer. If any turn out good, then blessed be! I am a Nikon girl though.
Question 7: Am I allowed to reproduce your photos and/or recipes on my blog or website? With permission and two proper link backs, of course. But please read my privacy + terms of service page for more details first.
