I was watching a YouTube video by Dan McDonald, known as the “life regenerator”. He was interviewing Lou Corona, a gentleman with an awesome story, and a very good health record as a result of the revelations he had received concerning healing and true health.
Corona literally took what he was impressed with, and healed his body of disease, and is in remarkable health, now working to make others healthy.
Perhaps the most prominent factors Mr. Corona revealed in the video were that faith (mindset), nourishment, and consistency (with time) were the most important factors to true health and healing. Now mind you, I am paraphrasing.
About the Lemon Ginger Blast though…This juice was the very first green juice I had ever made, and I am so glad that I did. It is strong, but potent, good especially for the wintertime when viruses go around rampantly, but also good for cellular level healing on a routine basis.
This recipe is not fruit dominated, but is a delicate interworking of fruit, veggies, and spices. You will feel the power of this one for sure!
The benefits of this one juice include:
– a circulation enhancer
– a digestion stimulator
– a free radicals neutralizer
Here is my version of the Lemon Ginger Blast with a few adaptations: less spice (I can’t handle too much heat) replacing the habaneros with jalapeños, adding water and ice for blending, fresh orange juice, and substituting out arugula for kale.
For those who want to juice, but have no juicer, the adaptations I have made makes it perfect to run in your high-powered blender! However, if you have a juicer, leave out the water and orange juice and it will still be perfect – throw in a few oranges though (peeled of course).
This is actually quite good so give it a try!
- 1 cup (8 oz.) water
- ½ cup fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1 green apple, unpeeled
- 1 fuji or gala apple, unpeeled
- 2-3 inches ginger (just a thumb of ginger :), peeled
- 2 lemon, peeled (I used seedless lemons)
- 1 bunch cilantro
- 1 bunch Italian parsley
- 3 leaves of curly kale
- ¼ to ½ jalapeno
- Ice, for chilling
- For a Juicer: Prepare all fruits and veggies by washing and peeling what's necessary. Run all ingredients through your juicer MINUS the water and orange juice which may be omitted.
- For a Blender: Add the ingredients in the order given above, and blend on high speed. Place in your favorite tall glass or jar and enjoy it's benefits.
