I have always loved kale – the curly kale.

Talking about kale smoothies, they have become a most nutritious favorite amongst many raw foodist, smoothie makers, and juice lovers. For some reason the vegetable that was once forgot about (you were hard-pressed to find someone who knew what it was), has made a fierce come back for the good.
Kale is so nutritious, and is packed vitamins K, A, C, and what I love more, it’s a natural source of iron.
This is one of the best smoothie recipes I have have created in my opinion. I just love the flavor that kale gives when added to citrus fruits! And, my bet is, you will as well.
- 1 cup water
- About 3½ to 4 cups of curly kale
- 1½ to 2 ripe bananas
- 2 oranges, peeled
- 1 fuji or gala apple, peeled and cored
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen pineapples
- 1 cup frozen mangoes
- Place ingredients in the blender, as listed and blend until smooth
Garnish with orange zest if desired. ~Bella
